MoFo Wants To Drop Tea Co. For Not Paying Bills

Law360, Chicago (November 20, 2013, 1:42 PM ET) -- Morrison & Foerster LLP took the unusual step Monday of seeking to bail on a corporate client over unpaid legal bills, telling a California federal judge that Bromley Tea Co. owes the firm nearly $85,000 for its defense of a false labeling class action.

In a motion filed with the court, Morrison & Foerster partner William Stern asked to withdraw as the N.J.-based company’s counsel, pointing to the unpaid fees and a dispute over litigation strategy.
