Vantage Oncology Pays $2M To Settle Whistleblower Suit

Law360, New York (November 21, 2013, 3:29 PM EST) -- Vantage Oncology LLC will pay more than $2 million to settle allegations brought by a whistleblower that it submitted false claims to Medicare for radiation oncology services performed at its Illinois centers, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.

The settlement closes a qui tam suit launched in Ohio federal court by Suleiman Refaei, a former medical physicist with Vantage.
