EPA Chief Says China Faces Long Road To Air Quality Reform

Law360, New York (December 02, 2013, 3:00 PM ET) -- Internal pressure on China to overhaul its air and water quality standards is at an all-time high but working out the reforms will require plenty of research and negotiation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy said Monday on the eve of her trip to China.

McCarthy, the Obama administration's point woman on global climate change, will meet with China's Ministry of Environmental Protection and other agencies to discuss pollution reduction initiatives for power plants, vehicles and cities.
