NJ Assembly Committee Advances Bill To Create Wine Board

Law360, New York (November 25, 2013, 8:20 PM EST) -- A New Jersey General Assembly committee on Monday advanced a bill to create a new state board charged with growing the state’s wine industry, granting a wine industry advisory board a wider range of duties and greater authority.

The New Jersey General Assembly’s Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee unanimously approved A-4218, which would dissolve the current New Jersey Wine Industry Advisory Counsel and replace it with the newly formed New Jersey Wine Board, which would be empowered with additional responsibilities including revenue-producing activities.
