FilmOn In Contempt For Defying Streaming Ban

Law360, Washington (November 25, 2013, 2:54 PM EST) -- A Washington D.C. federal judge on Monday held online television streamer FilmOn X LLC in contempt for breaching a court-ordered ban on the online service, saying the company’s chief executive was “missing couth.”

U.S. District Judge Rosemary M. Collyer held short of imposing monetary sanctions on FilmOn for violating an injunction barring it from streaming in Boston but said any further contempt would cost the company $20,000 per day.
