No Antitrust Overhaul Under New President: Experts

Law360, New York (March 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Although either Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) or John McCain (R-Ariz.) is sure to put his stamp on federal antitrust policies if elected president, experts doubt that either candidate could institute a complete overhaul.

Of the two candidates, Obama has been more vocal about changing U.S. policy, promising increased antitrust scrutiny under his administration. McCain has not explicitly described changes he would make if he wins in November, and his campaign office did not return requests to clarify his antitrust position.
