'Fat Leonard' To Be Held Without Bail In Navy Brass Bribe Plot

Law360, Los Angeles (November 26, 2013, 4:20 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Monday reversed course and ordered that Leonard Glenn Francis, the Malaysian businessman accused of bribing U.S. Navy officials in a scheme to overbill the government for tens of millions, be held without bond.

U.S. District Judge Janis L. Sammartino granted federal prosecutors’ appeal to reverse an earlier decision granting $1 million bail to contractor Leonard Glenn Francis, according to court records.
