Micros Systems Hit With Class Action Over Unpaid Overtime

Law360, New York (November 27, 2013, 4:04 PM ET) -- Hospitality software firm Micros Systems Inc. was hit Wednesday with a proposed class action in Tennessee federal court, in which the company is accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act, the California Labor Code and California Unfair Competition Law by not paying workers required overtime wages.

The complaint alleges the software provider knowingly failing to pay overtime wages to employees it had misclassified as exempt, even though they had worked more than eight hours in a day or 40 hours in a week. In addition,...
