Detroit Bridge Co. Sues State Dept. Over Bridge Docs

Law360, San Francisco (November 27, 2013, 5:50 PM ET) -- The operator of the embattled Ambassador Bridge connecting Detroit to Canada hit the U.S. Department of State and others with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit Tuesday, claiming their failure to release documents has hamstrung its case against Canada and the U.S. over a proposed rival bridge.
The Detroit International Bridge Co., which has operated the 7,500-foot span since 1921, said 14 document queries made to the State Department, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard have fallen on deaf ears. Despite...
