BofA, Freddie Mac Reach $404M Mortgage Settlement

Law360, New York (December 02, 2013, 11:11 AM ET) -- Bank of America Corp. said Monday that it has reached a $404 million settlement with Freddie Mac resolving all of the government-controlled mortgage company's claims related to home loans it bought from the bank before the financial crisis.

The settlement, the latest in a series of deals between Freddie Mac and banks that sold mortgages that it then packaged into securities, covers home loans that Bank of America originated and sold between January 2000 and Dec. 31, 2009.
