NJ Bill Eyes More Energy Capacity, Infrastructure Planning

Law360, New York (December 5, 2013, 2:52 PM EST) -- A New Jersey Senate panel on Thursday advanced legislation that calls for a harder look at generation capacity and infrastructure as part of the state's overarching energy plan.

The measure that the Senate Environment and Energy Committee cleared without opposition would amend statutory language covering the state's Energy Master Plan to ensure that its long-term objectives include an analysis of the efficiency of generation capacity and energy infrastructure in connection with the state's energy needs.
