NJ Judicial Officer Suspended For DWI, Politicking

Law360, New York (December 6, 2013, 6:49 PM EST) -- The New Jersey Supreme Court has slapped an Atlantic County official with a two-month suspension from judicial activities for his role in a political fundraiser and a second drunk driving conviction, according to an order posted Thursday.

The high court agreed with the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct that Atlantic County Surrogate James Curcio deserved the suspension without pay for his admitted violations of state ethical standards.
