Ex-NASA Contractor Loses Retrial Bid In Iran Satellite Case

Law360, New York (December 9, 2013, 3:50 PM EST) -- A former NASA contractor on Friday lost his bid for a new trial or to overturn his conviction on charges that he provided satellite technology to Iran, violating trade and money laundering law.

In a brief order, U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte denied Nadar Modanlo’s motion for a new trial or acquittal without elaborating on his reasoning.
