Bechtel, Cheniere Strike $9.5B In Deals To Build LNG Facilities

Law360, New York (December 9, 2013, 8:01 PM EST) -- Cheniere Energy Inc. said Monday that its subsidiary has agreed to two separate deals for a combined $9.5 billion with Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals to construct liquefied natural gas trains and facilities for its project in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Cheniere’s Corpus Christi project is being completed in multiple stages, with the facilities beginning operations on a staggered basis, the company said.
