Label Makers' Challenge To Class Certification Fails

Law360, New York (March 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge delivered a blow to a trio of adhesive-label makers Thursday, denying a petition to appeal class certification for business customers in a pending antitrust action.

Judge Theodore A. McKee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit denied the petition of Avery Dennison Corp., Bemis Company Inc. and Bemis subsidiary Morgan Adhesives Co., to decertify the class of businesses that process and convert self-adhesive labelstock for sale.
