Bain Bids $501M To Add Research Firm To Japanese Portfolio

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 11:27 AM EST) -- Bain Capital LLC said it would pay 51.4 billion yen ($501 million) to take private Japanese market researcher Macromill Inc., according to a Wednesday securities filing, a deal that would continue the private equity firm's foray into the Asian country.

Under the deal's terms, Bain will fork over 786 yen per share, a 16.6 percent premium over Tuesday's closing price.
