Beastie Boys Restart Fight Over GoldieBlox Video

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 11:37 AM ET) -- Two weeks after toy company GoldieBlox Inc. offered to take down a promotional video featuring a Beastie Boys tune and drop its litigation in return for legal peace, the Beastie Boys answered in a big way Tuesday: lodging counterclaims for copyright and trademark infringement.

The countersuit is the latest to development in the fight over a YouTube video GoldieBlox released on Nov. 17, which uses the tune to the band's 1987 hit song "Girls" but changes many of the lyrics to push its girl-empowering company message....
