33 GOP Lawmakers Propose Health Tax Alternatives To ACA

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 12:58 PM ET) -- A universal tax incentive for buying health insurance and tax-free health savings accounts are among a list of ideas that 33 House Republicans want to bring to President Barack Obama as alternatives to Affordable Care Act provisions, the congressmen announced Tuesday.

In an open letter to the president, the congressmen cited Obama's repeated promise that he will embrace good ideas from both sides of the aisle. The letter includes a request to meet with Obama to discuss Republican alternatives to the Affordable Care Act.
