$5M Contract Suit Against Insurer Largely Survives

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 6:59 PM ET) -- An Illinois federal court on Monday kept intact most claims in an insurance agency's more than $5 million contract dispute with Leading Insurance Group Insurance Co. Ltd. (US), but tossed deceptive practices counts brought under state law.

U.S. District Judge Philip Reinhard rejected most of LIG and Leading Insurance Services Inc.'s motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Northern Illinois Insurance Agency Inc. over LIG's attempts to cancel broker agreements.
