Pa. Lawmakers Float Equal Pay Bills In Women's Health Push

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 8:07 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania lawmakers on Wednesday introduced a slew of women’s health legislation, including bills for pay equity that would bolster protections for employees filing complaints against their employers.

S.B. 1212, which was co-sponsored by state Sens. Rob Teplitz, D-Dauphin County, and Anthony H. Williams, D-Philadelphia, would also help shield employees from possible retaliation for bringing up wage-related issues, and includes an exception for differentials between employees based on any other factor than sex, Teplitz said in a statement.
