Koch Unit Cuts Deal With Enviros To Curb Refinery Emissions

Law360, New York (December 12, 2013, 8:26 PM EST) -- Citizens for Environmental Justice and the Environmental Integrity Project have reached a settlement agreement with Koch Industries Inc.'s Flint Hills Resources to cut greenhouse gas and other air pollution from their refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas, the groups announced Thursday.

As a result of abundant supplies of crude oil flowing to the area from the booming Eagle Ford shale, the company is planning a major project to expand capacity at its Corpus Christi West Refinery.
