Laos, Vietnam To Draw Up $50B In Energy, Tourism Projects

Law360, New York (December 12, 2013, 2:40 PM ET) -- Southeast Asian countries that are part of what's dubbed the Greater Mekong Subregion have agreed to draw up a $50 billion pipeline of potential transportation, infrastructure, energy, tourism and other economic development projects over the next decade, the Asian Development Bank announced Thursday.

The pipeline of projects will be drawn up under a new regional investment framework, or RIF, that will focus on railways, agricultural, environmental conservation and regional tourism projects, according to the ADB, which acts as secretariat for the GMS Economic Cooperation Program....
