Supreme Court Won't Review Gulf Drilling Ban

Law360, New York (December 16, 2013, 1:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear marine industry contractor Hornbeck Offshore Services LLC's challenge to a circuit court ruling affirming a drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

The Supreme Court denied Hornbeck's petition for certiorari in which the contractor contested an April ruling by the Fifth Circuit overturning a district court’s contempt finding against the U.S. Department of the Interior over the moratorium.
