Samsung Seeks New Patent Trial Over Apple's 'Racial Bias'

Law360, New York (December 16, 2013, 4:41 PM EST) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked a judge Friday to either reduce a recent $290 million damages award against it in a smartphone patent dispute with Apple Inc. or order a new trial, saying the verdict lacked evidentiary support and was tainted by "direct appeals to racial prejudice" by Apple's attorneys.
