Neb. AG's Appeal In 'Troll' Case Wasn't Frivolous, 8th Circ. Told

Law360, New York (December 18, 2013, 7:41 PM ET) -- Nebraska's attorney general told the Eighth Circuit on Tuesday that he had good reason to file a now-dismissed appeal over his order barring a law firm that represents so-called patent trolls from sending demand letters, urging the court to reject the firm's claim that the appeal was frivolous.
Attorney General Jon Bruning, who voluntarily dismissed the appeal last month, said in a court filing that Farney Daniels PC's motion to have the appeal designated as frivolous and to require Bruning to pay the firm's costs was...
