EIB Backs Egyptian Infrastructure Projects With €392M Loan

Law360, New York (December 18, 2013, 3:58 PM EST) -- The European Investment Bank will provide four loans to Egypt totaling €392 million ($539 million) to help fund a variety of infrastructure projects that are expected to improve health, safety, access to electricity and the economy, it said Wednesday.

The four projects include improvements to water and wastewater treatment plants, upgrades to air traffic control services, financial support to small businesses and renovations to an electricity plant, the bank said.
