GOP Sens. Float Bill To Merge Labor, Commerce Departments

Law360, Los Angeles (December 18, 2013, 7:20 PM ET) -- Three Republican senators on Tuesday introduced a bill aimed at saving money by consolidating the Department of Labor, the Department of Commerce and the Small Business Administration into a new agency called the “Department of Commerce and the Workforce,” saying it would combine duplicative functions.
