Appeals Court Denies Transco Rate Increase

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appellate court has affirmed the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's rejection of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp.'s proposed across-the-board rate increase.

Transco, a subsidiary of The Williams Cos. Inc., sought to increase rates after installing bigger pipes and new compressors to facilitate supplying gas to new customers.
