USPTO Overruled, Timex Wins 'Intelligent Quartz' Trademark

Law360, Los Angeles (December 18, 2013, 8:21 PM ET) -- A Virginia federal judge granted summary judgment to Timex Group USA Inc. in its fight to register "Intelligent Quartz" as a trademark for a line of watches, holding Tuesday that a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office appeal board had erred in denying registration.
