NFL Moves To Sack Photographers' Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 1:42 PM ET) -- The National Football League on Wednesday moved to escape a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by sports photographers over the league's use of their images, saying it legally licensed the photos from co-defendants The Associated Press and Getty Images.

The league was responding to a lawsuit filed in October by seven current and former photogs who claimed the AP and Getty, which license the photos to end users, cut deals with the NFL to provide it with the content royalty-free.
