Fla. Atty Lands 90-Day Suspension Over Client Tax Filings

Law360, New York (December 20, 2013, 1:34 PM EST) -- The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday suspended a Florida attorney for 90 days plus two years of probation for misconduct while representing a client in probate court in a matter involving the filing of income taxes for an estate.

The Florida Bar had asked the high court to review a report by a referee that had been appointed to hold hearings and provide the report to a lower court regarding accusations that lawyer Peter M. MacNamara had engaged in ethical misconduct.
