JDS Uniphase Hit With Suit Over Laser Patents

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Optical components manufacturer Bookham Inc. has sued its rival JDS Uniphase, alleging that the company wrongfully accused Bookham of violating three of its patents.

According to the suit, filed in federal court in San Jose, Calif., JDSU has accused Bookham in writing of infringing one of its patents for tunable laser products. Bookham maintains that it has not infringed any JDSU patents.
