White House Taps Latham Partner As CFTC Commissioner

Law360, New York (December 20, 2013, 4:03 PM ET) -- The White House nominated a new commissioner for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Friday, tapping Latham & Watkins LLP partner Sharon Bowen to fill the last vacant seat.

Bowen, who joined Latham as an associate in 1988, currently serves as a member and vice chairwoman of the board of directors of the Securities Investor Protection corporation.
