Pipeline Co. Takes Gas Delivery Fight To Texas High Court

Law360, Dallas (December 20, 2013, 4:57 PM ET) -- Kachina Pipeline Co. Inc. on Thursday asked the Texas Supreme Court to overturn an appellate decision that found the company breached a contract when it improperly charged an energy developer for the cost of compression that helped transport his natural gas to a processing plant.

Kachina said a June decision from the Third Court of Appeals misapplied fundamental principles of contract interpretation and construed common, natural gas industry contract language in a way that "defies physics and threatens the efficient delivery of natural gas to market." The...
