Evergreen Int'l Aviation Hits Ch. 7 After Creditor Action

Law360, Wilmington (January 2, 2014, 3:37 PM EST) -- Oregon-based Evergreen International Aviation Inc. and several affiliates filed for Chapter 7 protection Tuesday in Delaware, listing more than $100 million in debt, two weeks after creditors tried to force a unit of the company into bankruptcy in New York.

The petition filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware lists between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors, as well as liabilities of between $100 million and $500 million against an asset range of between $50 million and $100 million.
