Fla. Court Halts Suits By Engle Opt-Out Plaintiffs

Law360, Miami (January 2, 2014, 3:41 PM EST) -- A Florida appeals court on Tuesday ruled that the state Supreme Court's 2006 landmark Engle decision did not nullify opt-out notices filed by former class members and said time had run out on their wrongful death claims against tobacco companies.
