Great American Seeks Speedy Exit From PlayStation Suit

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 8:04 PM EST) -- Great American Insurance Co. of New York has told the New York Supreme Court that Sony Corp.'s decision to drop an excess insurance claim over litigation stemming from a cyberattack on its PlayStation Network should release the company from claims asserted in a suit brought by Sony's primary insurer Zurich American Insurance Co.

Great American filed a motion to dismiss the Zurich complaint on Dec. 23, shortly after it unveiled a deal with Sony under which the electronics giant agreed to drop its claim for litigation coverage...
