Shipbuilder Loses Coverage Bid For Suit Over Faulty Boats

Law360, Los Angeles (January 03, 2014, 8:49 PM ET) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Friday refused to rule that National Union Fire Insurance Co. had a duty to defend Bollinger Shipyards Inc. in a False Claims Act suit by the federal government over allegedly faulty ships, saying Bollinger failed to show the government made a claim against it during the applicable policy period.
