Liberty Media Wants Full Takeover Of Sirius XM

Law360, Los Angeles (January 03, 2014, 10:22 PM ET) -- Liberty Media Corp. wants to take full ownership of Sirius XM Holdings Inc. in a deal valuing the satellite-radio carrier at roughly $23 billion, Liberty said in a Friday statement and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

Under the proposed deal, Liberty, which is controlled by billionaire John Malone and already has a 53 percent majority stake in Sirius, would buy out the remaining, minority-owned shares in the radio company.
