NJ Pregnancy Bias Bill On Its Way To Gov. Christie

Law360, New York (January 06, 2014, 6:10 PM ET) -- A New Jersey bill that would prohibit workplace discrimination against women because of pregnancy, childbirth and childbirth recovery is headed to Gov. Chris Christie, after the state Assembly granted the measure final legislative approval on Monday.

Less than two months after the New Jersey Senate unanimously passed S2995, the Assembly in a 77-to-1 vote cleared what would be an express ban on employers treating pregnant women less favorably than others who aren't pregnant but have similar work abilities.
