Time Warner Finalizes $600M DukeNet Buyout

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 5:50 PM EST) -- Time Warner Cable finished up its $600 million acquisition of DukeNet Communications LLC, gaining 8,700 miles of fiber optic cable in the Southeast U.S., the company said Monday.

The deal, first announced in October, gives Time Warner a significant presence in the "key" markets of North Carolina and South Carolina, the media giant said. DukeNet was previously owned by Duke Energy and Alinda Capital Partners LLC.
