FTC Halts Supplement Marketers' False Ads, Lax Data Control

Law360, New York (January 7, 2014, 5:52 PM EST) -- Two marketers of genetically customized nutritional supplements on Tuesday agreed to stop making unsupported health claims and improve their privacy practices to resolve the Federal Trade Commission's deceptive advertising and data security claims, despite one commissioner's objections to the proposed remedy.
