Deals Rumor Mill: Novartis, Statoil, Lanco

The asset swap has become the central focus for Novartis, in the midst of an exhaustive review of its portfolio, though it could still opt for an outright sale of the business to a separate buyer. The companies have been in talks "for some time" but have come up against difficulties in executing the deal, one of the more complex approaches to unloading a unit....
