Dallas Can't Persuade Appeals Court To OK Direct Power Buys

Law360, Dallas (January 9, 2014, 4:13 PM EST) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday rejected argument from the city of Dallas that it should be allowed to register as a retail electric provider with the ability to directly purchase power, upholding an administrative decision that finds cities don’t qualify to be retail providers.
