Bard Vaginal Mesh Bellwether Put On Hold

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 3:00 PM EST) -- The last in a round of bellwether trials in multidistrict litigation alleging personal injury from C.R. Bard Inc.’s vaginal mesh products was put off indefinitely Wednesday, after a key plaintiff’s expert suddenly became unavailable two days before trial.

U.S. District Judge Joseph Goodwin granted an unopposed motion for continuance brought by Carolyn Jones, the fourth bellwether plaintiff to go to trial in vast multidistrict litigation over Bard’s allegedly defective Avaulta pelvic support devices.
