Landowners Win Rehearing In EQT Fracking Test Fight

Law360, Philadelphia (January 10, 2014, 5:41 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state judge on Friday agreed to reconsider a decision to force more than 60 landowners to let EQT Corp. begin pre-fracking tests on their land in a case in which the energy company is accusing the landowners of violating the terms of their leases.

Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge Christine Ward said that she would hold a hearing in February on the matter, after the landowners asked her to reconsider her December decision granting EQT a preliminary injunction.
