EU Probes Studios' Film Licensing Deals With Broadcasters

Law360, New York (January 13, 2014, 1:23 PM EST) -- Europe's antitrust watchdog announced Monday that it was investigating whether licensing deals between U.S. movie studios such as Paramount Pictures and European pay TV providers broke competition laws because they prevent broadcasters from showing licensed films outside their home countries.
