Top Dem On House Labor Committee To Retire

Law360, New York (January 13, 2014, 7:13 PM ET) -- Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Education and the Workforce Committee and a champion of worker-friendly legislation such as the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, announced Monday that he will not seek re-election in the fall.

Miller, who has been in Congress for 40 years, generally focused his efforts at helping to craft and support legislation aimed at improving conditions for workers, expanding educational opportunities and preserving natural resources.
