Jury Convicts Five National Century Execs

Law360, New York (March 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After more than two days of deliberation, a federal court jury on Thursday convicted five former National Century Financial Enterprises Inc. executives on various fraud charges for their alleged roles in the collapse of the health care finance company that cost investors $1.9 billion.

Five of the felled company's highest-ranking executives were convicted on wire and securities fraud charges, among others, after a trial that lasted more than five weeks.
