Pilots Union Wins Seniority Row With Ex-Am West Pilots

Law360, Los Angeles (January 13, 2014, 10:58 PM ET) -- Former America West Airlines Inc. pilots on Friday lost their class action contract suit against the U.S. Airline Pilots Association over a long-running seniority dispute, with an Arizona federal judge finding the USAPA didn't breach its duty of fair representation.

U.S. District Judge Roslyn Silver directed sharp criticism at USAPA but found that the America West pilots failed to prove the union breached its duty of fair representation by violating an arbitrator's seniority list to integrate pilots after America West and US Airways merged in 2005....
